The Bulgarian Old Catholic Church is pleased to note the appointment of Archbishop Svetoslav Vasilev as Vice Chairperson of the Governing Board of Central Christian University in Malawi.
Archbishop Vasilev serves as the Presiding Archbishop of the Bulgarian Old Catholic Church. His ministry reflects a broad ecclesiastical and ecumenical vision, with the Church’s wider international relationships including bishops and clergy in several countries.
In addition to his episcopal ministry, Archbishop Vasilev is recognised for his work as a scholar, author, historian, and theologian. His academic and pastoral interests bring together historical knowledge, theological reflection, and a concern for the Church’s witness in the modern world.
Archbishop Vasilev has also been involved in humanitarian, social, charitable, and interfaith initiatives, including work connected with religious affairs and interfaith harmony.
The Bulgarian Old Catholic Church warmly congratulates Archbishop Vasilev on this appointment and prays that his service will continue to bear fruit for the Church, the academy, and the wider community.
